Meet The Ochiltree County Constable *

I’ve been married for 36 years and have two sons, all of whom are Perryton High School graduates. My family and I are active members of CWC and have deep roots in this community.

With over 27 years of experience in law enforcement, I hold the highest level of Peace Officer certification in Texas, the Master Peace Officer license. I began my career in 1991, starting as a jailer for Frio and Ochiltree Counties, before moving to San Antonio to attend the police academy. While in the academy, I also served as a Police Dispatcher for Balcones Heights Police Department, where I quickly advanced to Dispatch Supervisor and later Patrol Officer.

After returning to the Texas Panhandle in 1996, I served with the Dalhart Police Department for six years, starting as a Patrolman and rising to Sergeant. In 2003, I moved back to Perryton and worked as a Patrolman for the Perryton Police Department for over four years. In 2007, I became a Reserve Deputy Constable for Ochiltree County, where I have proudly served for nearly 17 years. In 2021, I had the opportunity to return to full-time service as a Deputy Sheriff for Ochiltree County.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege to develop initiatives such as the Citizens Police Academy and the Emergency Security Safety Plan for Dalhart ISD. I also have experience running multimillion-dollar companies and have received EMT training, further expanding my ability to serve and protect the community.

I am a strong advocate for community policing, school safety, and addressing mental health and substance abuse in law enforcement. These core values guide my work in protecting and improving our community.
